# Samsung Electronics America _,Ridgefield Park New Jersey_ Feb 13, 2018 # General Description Responsible for processing accounts payables from the receipt of invoices to the processing and printing of checks for defined set of SEA vendor accounts. Reconcile moderately complex general ledger accounts on a monthly basis and perform other special projects as needed. Process specialized vendor payables that are difficult in nature and require research and heavy customer contact. Compile sales and use tax information for monthly tax filings. Assist in developing accounts payable analysts and clerical staff. Perform month-end closing activities in AP which include: expense review and accruals. Perform all types of escalation regarding vendor issues prior to escalating to supervisor. Work closely with Supervisor or Manager on AP related projects and process improvements. Support external/internal audits. Develop spreadsheets for adhoc analysis. Applies basic knowledge of departmental principles and procedures. Performs work within company and regulatory guidelines. High School Diploma or equivalent with 5-8 years of directly related experience or Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years of experience is required. Prefer a background utilizing SAP R/3 software or a similar ERP system environment. Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with moderate Excel spreadsheet preparation skills operating in a LAN/WAN systems environment. Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%
•) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities. # Necessary Skills / Attributes Demonstrated ability to interact with analysts and supervisors within the department, multiple internal levels within the organization and have frequent external contacts. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments. Ability to prepare written materials and reports. Detailed oriented person with project management skills willing to take on a challenge.
