Job description
A global medical device company located in Irvine, CA is seeking a full time Department Coordinator to join the team. The Irvine Quality Laboratories Department Coordinator position supports the Microbiology, Biology, and Chemistry labs by managing the day to day administrative functions in order to better serve our customers, including receiving samples. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with business professionals, preferably in a global corporation. The Department Coordinator's
role requires a proactive, self-starter who possesses multi-tasking and communication skills.

This position will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to include:

• Receive routine, ad-hoc, and EQL samples for all three laboratories
• Data Entry into systems
• Assist business partners with organization information and/or administrative needs
• Maintain departmental files/records
• Submit monthly expense reports for department purchases and staff expenses

Job requirements
• A minimum of one year of related experience, preferably in a global corporation, is required for the Department Coordinator;
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in all MS Office software, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must have strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and resourceful
• Ability to make independent decisions (within established guidelines) & use good judgment
• Must have the ability to solve problems quickly and take the initiative to do so
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to support multiple team members simultaneously
