The Pharmacy Technician is responsible filling and dispensing prescriptions assigned to the pharmacy in various functions such as counting out pills or boxes, replenishing, dispensing, correcting dispensing errors, and shipping. Candidates will be crossed trained in all functions as you may work in different areas of the dispensing pharmacy at any given time. Candidates must be a current licensed Pharmacy Technician without restrictions in the state of Nevada in order to be considered.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Saturday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (Monday- Friday 4am - 2:30 pm and Saturday 4:30am - 2:30 pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
- Processing prescriptions to include counting, filling, and shipping
- Resolving prescription dispensing issues
- Verifying appropriate prescription and member information
- Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of California is Required
- Demonstrated ability in using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and learning new computer programs
- An education level of at least a high school diploma or GED OR 10 years of equivalent working experience
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive
- 1+ years of experience of working in a Pharmacy Technician role
- Pharmacy/ prescription data entry experience preferred
