DCS Corp has an immediate opening for an Operational Analyst supporting the USRL and 513th Electronic Warfare Squadron.
Essential Job Functions:
The Operational analysts will work with the test team and provide support during planning, execution, and the reporting phases of F-35 mission data test and evaluation. The ideal candidate’s responsibilities will include:
Participating in test execution, data collection and reduction, data analysis, and test reporting.
Developing test objectives, methods, and procedures.
Determining data requirements, developing data collection forms and logs, and coordinating with test support agencies and test ranges.
Developing, maintaining, and managing data tools to support the test team.
Managing databases and analytic functions to ensure robust, secure, and responsive data control and evaluation capability.
Applying scientific methods and techniques to analyze systems, processes, and/or operational problems and procedures.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or other technical/science discipline with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, or statistics (at least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus). A Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or other technical/science discipline with 4 years post-school working experience will also be considered.
A minimum of 5 years post-school working experience as an operational analyst.
Must be a self-starter who is willing and able to work in a team environment.
Must be detail oriented and a critical thinker.
Must have good communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Able to write up concise documentation such as test procedures, test results, and reports, etc.
Must be able to accomplish assignments/tasks with minimal supervision.
Must have good office computer skills, most especially Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques.
Background with statistical or mathematical modeling.
Knowledge of various data distributions and their analyses.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in creating/writing VBA macros to manipulate and analyze data.
Knowledge of at least one data analysis/statistical software package (Design Expert, JMP, R).
MS Degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
Familiarization with Air Force and/or Navy test processes and regulations.
Knowledge of electronic warfare systems.
