Position Summary   

The Accounting Analyst assists the Controller, NA with preparing accurate financial reports in conformity with US GAAP.  This position operates within a framework of controls which are to be maintained and improved when necessary.  The position will work closely with all members of Percepta Finance during the month end close and to complete monthly reporting requirements. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and review journal entries for the month end close.

  • Cash management responsibilities.

  • Accounts receivable collections.

  • Create and produce monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with US GAAP (AR agings, AP agings, transaction registers, invoice registers).

  • Analyze monthly reports ensuring accuracy.

  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations.

  • Maintain and improve control environment.

  • Liaise with Finance Managers to insure all reporting is completed by the due dates.

  • Other Ad Hoc reports.

  • Other duties, responsibilities and projects as needed. 

Education 

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or working towards a degree in approved program. 

Experience 

  • 3 years of experience in corporate accounting

  • 3 years of experience using Word, Excel, Oracle, Outlook  

Skills 

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Well-versed in Word, Excel, Oracle, and Outlook applications.  

Other 

  • Excellent communication skills for working with external and internal customers.

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule during month-end and year-end closing process.

  • Willing to consider working around a school schedule if it is not too disruptive of the business needs.
