The successful candidate will facilitate Electronic Warfare (EW) research, mission data development and mission data testing.
Essential Job Functions:
The Contractor shall provide assistance in maintaining/troubleshooting an avionics system lab environment, developing improvements leading to the resolution of issues identified with fielded and fielding defensive avionics systems including, but not limited to, radar, controls and displays, data bus, communication, navigation, identification, electronic warfare, and sensor systems and other systems and components as defined in, or derived from, program requirements. Conduct electronic component troubleshooting and repair during tests and mission data reprogramming events.
Support as the technical content manager for avionics systems and Technical Orders (TOs) assigned.
Assist with Air Force program management associated with a maintenance/lab environment.
Assist with setup, power-on, and initiation of Radio Frequency (RF) simulation tests/recordings. Manage Air Force programs including, but not limited to, Composite Tool Kit (CTK), Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO), Equipment management/inventory, Due-in From Maintenance(DIFM), Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment(TMDE), Bench Stock, and Work Order Residue.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A High School Diploma or GED plus 10 years of experience, an Associate’s Degree plus 7 years of experience, a Bachelors Degree plus 3 years of experience or a Master’s Degree plus 1 year of experience is required.
Active Secret Clearance.
Skill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data; and, identifying and analyzing complex technical problems and developing innovative solutions.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics systems. Self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision.
Experience in aircraft avionics development, integration and sustainment.
Applicants must have a working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software and possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
It is desirable for candidates to be familiar with RF and the Electromagnetic(EM) spectrum as well as radar theory.
Ability to utilize specialized test equipment such as real time spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, synthesizers, waveform generators and network analyzers. Familiar with Air Force maintenance practices.
