DCS Corp is looking for a highly motivated individual to support the collection and analysis of multimodal physiological and behavioral data from humans in complex, realistic environments. The individual in this position will work directly with a diverse team of scientists and engineers whose expertise covers a wide range of fields including neuroscience, psychology, signal processing, computer science, and machine learning. As part of this team, the individual will learn to use cutting-edge signal processing and data analysis techniques and will apply these to data collected from humans in complex, realistic environments. In addition to reporting findings within their team, the individual will have opportunities to present their findings to the broader scientific community through conference presentations and journal publications.
Essential Job Functions:
Work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to analyze human physiological and behavioral data using novel signal processing and machine learning methods.
Develop data processing pipelines to organize and extract meaning from complex multimodal datasets.
Support the development of hardware and software systems to record human behavior and physiological signals in realistic environments.
Support research scientists in human subject data collection.
Due to the sensitive nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
Experience with data processing with MATLAB and/or Python.
Knowledge of basic signal processing concepts such as temporal filters and the Fourier transform.
Ability to communicate technical and scientific concepts to both academic and non-academic audiences.
Master’s degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
Experience with processing and analysis of time-series data.
Familiarity with advanced signal processing techniques such as blind source separation and multimodal data fusion.
Experience with human subject research.
Experience with human sensing technology including EEG, ECG, eye-tracking, and motion capture.
Experience with tools for EEG data analysis including EEGLAB, FieldTrip, and MNE.
Experience with the use of convolutional neural networks in Keras, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch.
