Basic Purpose

This position is part of the Card Fraud Prevention Analytics team within Security.


•Review, analyze and evaluate business systems, operational processes, and user needs
•Develop business requirements, business processes; define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
•Translate business requirements into user stories, use cases and technical requirements
•Develop and coordinate issue resolutions; monitor results for long term viability
•Work on large and complex projects and monitor progress by tracking activity; provide status reports and recommend actions
•Investigate operational problems; recommend solutions to customer
•Monitor performance of systems to ensure continued systems efficiency
•Represent the business unit in identifying, analyzing and communicating system solutions
•Conduct and/or facilitate user acceptance testing to include developing and executing test cases, communication with project teams, validating and documenting results
•Develop, recommend and document adjustments to workflows to streamline processes
•Document and improve procedures and system manuals
•Discover and troubleshoot system issues and determine scope, scale and impact
•Apply and communicate changes and new trends in systems/technology
•Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems, Information Management Systems, or the equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
•Advanced experience in developing requirements for large and complex systems
•Advanced experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues
•Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills
•Advanced experience with functional decomposition of large business needs into multiple layers of requirements/user stories
•Strong ability to translate requirements or system behaviors into technical diagrams and business workflows (e.g.: system architectural diagrams in MS Visio)
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong ability to work closely with business units to determine needs, prioritize, and execute their strategy
•Strong ability to manage priorities and communicate updates
•Advanced hands-on experience with SQL, JMP, and other business intelligence tools

Desired Qualifications:

•Advanced experience with usage and navigation of TSYS Green Screens and database tables
•Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal Credit Card and Debit Card systems, services, programs, policies and procedures
•Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining macros using tools (e.g.: AutoIT scripting)
•Knowledge and experience with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK)
•Certified Business Analysis Professional or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
