In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, researching, investigating and triaging all types of claims, appeals and grievances. You’ll drive the action and communicate with appropriate parties regarding claims issues. In return, we’ll provide you with great training, support and opportunities.
This is a challenging role with serious impact. We’ll look to you to motivate and empower your team to provide best in class service. You’ll need to combine expertise and exceptional claims support with analyzing and researching complex claims.
Coordinate and supervise daily / weekly / monthly activities of a team members including setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action
Audit monthly and bi - weekly claim reports for accuracy
Work provider correspondence

- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 5+ years of major medical claims processing experience
- 2+ years of claims supervisory experience
- Strong math skills (ability to multiply, divide, and compute percentages)
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Proficient knowledge of ICD10 and CPT4 coding
- Proficient knowledge of current NCCI edits
- Ability to interpret plan benefits and know how to apply them
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (set up equations, format columns, sort / filter) and Microsoft Word (basic navigation, formatting)
- Ability to work standard schedule of Monday - Friday with a start time between 6am - 8:30am. There is a potential to work weekends if business needs dictate
