The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating, assessing, planning, implementing, reassessing, and evaluating the patient care provided in the department, under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. The Clinical Manager assists the director in supervision of the nursing team to ensure quality care and satisfaction of the patient throughout the hospitalization. Responsibility for the supervision of this unit will be reflective of the hospital’s philosophy and objectives. The Clinical Manager must be able to identify opportunities for improvement and initiate appropriate measures to ensure quality patient care.
Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the area.
Responsible for compliance with standards during assigned shift
Uses established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of patient care during their assigned shift.
Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
Registered Nurse, BSN required
Must have demonstrated success in position requiring clinical as well as supervisory skills.
Must be able to function independently and perform duties according to standards.
Minimum of two (2) years current experience as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry field.
Must be able to follow directions, perform according to department standards, and able to function effectively under stress.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse required
Current BLS in Healthcare Provider required.
Current ACLS in Healthcare Provider required
