The role reports to the Manager, GC Project Engineering and is located in Oklahoma.

Your responsibilities

  • Setup Process Gas Chromatograph applications and verify separations when testing columns/applications.
  • Understand and mix chemical blends for lab testing.
  • Utilize standard processes and tools applicable to the Analytical Engineering group. Report process and tool inefficiencies, suggest ideas for improvement, & contribute to effort to implement suggestions when necessary
  • Working and networking with engineering colleagues, gleaning best practices from legacy knowledge within the industry
  • Participate in specialized training on products, solutions, and services

Your background

  • Currently enrolled in a Chemistry degree program in the US majoring in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry related field.
  • GPA 3.0+
  • Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
  • Desire to work with analytical instrumentation / Process Gas chromatography
  • Knowledge of components used in oil and gas automation
  • Experience with a dynamic group with shifting priorities in a professional setting
  • Chemical lab experience encouraged but not required
