Prominent IP and Business Litigation firm in Santa Monica is seeking an amazing Legal Secretary to join the team! Candidate will be doing mostly Calendaring and E-filing. We need someone who is flexible and is a quick-study. We are offering a competitive salary DOE with a tremendous benefits package. Firm is offering hybrid - 2 days/ week in office model for time being.
Legal Secretary responsibilities:
Preparing pleadings, agreements and correspondence, including judicial and administrative forms, using advanced knowledge and skills with word processing and other software programs.
File court documents and related correspondence, memorandum, pleadings and related documents. E-file and paper file documents with state and federal trial and appellate courts and administrative bodies.
Maintain team and court calendars and keep attorneys aware of scheduled events and approaching deadlines.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail for attorneys
Schedule meetings, depositions and conference calls, and assist with travel arrangements when necessary and reserve conference rooms
Communicate by phone and email with clients, maintaining professionalism and a high level of customer service at all times
Enter time and handle billing for assigned timekeepers
Assist in trial preparation
Answer and handle incoming phone calls in a professional manner
Assist fellow workers and other timekeepers as needed

Required Skills and Experience:
High School diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred.
Three or more years of legal litigation secretarial experience is required.
