Construction Manager (Temporary Position)
Pay range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour.
The Housing Authority of the City of Camden (HACC) is seeking a part-time Construction Manager (Temporary Position) as part of the Executive Office. This position is not to exceed 18 months.
The Construction Manager is under the supervision of the Director of Modernization, and performs non-structural plan check and inspection of new and existing residential structures of capital improvement projects to ensure compliance with codes, ordinances and regulations, including inspecting projects and materials, preparing daily reports, coordinating departmental activities with contractors and utility companies; performs code enforcement through issuance of warning notices, stop work orders and correction notices; and performs related work as required. Other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great attention to detail and time management skills.
Successful candidates will be subject to satisfactory drug and criminal background screenings before hiring.

Required Qualifications and Education:
The minimum educational qualifications required to be a Construction Manager are a graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred; or an Associate's degree and may substitute related work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties as described herein; and a minimum of three to five (3-5) years' experience in the field of architecture, engineering, project management, construction contract management, is preferred. Courses or certification in Construction Management from an accredited institution.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All appointees must have a valid Driver's License.
