Job description
The focus on the Customer Service Representative is to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. This role will communicate with co-workers, customers, and consumers in a courteous and professional manner. The Customer Service Representative works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments as well as independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. This role suggests and implement improvements to internal processes to improve productivity and streamline department workload.
 Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive and process all incoming orders (received via phone, fax, website, etc.) into ERP system in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Maintain changes to existing sales orders within established guidelines
  • Process and distribute invoices
  • Provide quality customer service; act as primary liaison to the customer for all orders, delivery and critical issues
  • Maintain active communication and respond to inquiries from customers, distributors, and sales force regarding orders and shipment schedules
  • Ability to understand, handle and escalate customer problems/complaints in a timely manner
  • Resolve difficult or stressful customer service issues
  • Expedite orders when needed to meet customer requirements with the objective to prevent delinquent deliveries to the customer and assure customer has full knowledge of critical situations
  • Anticipate problems and initiate actions to ensure customers' orders are processed and shipped efficiently
  • Assist with purchasing of lab and office supplies
  • Process credit card orders and payments
  • Work under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager
  •  May be required to work overtime occasionally
  • Other duties as assigned
 Qualifications | Competencies | Success Factors
  • 1+ years customer service/office experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new computer programs
  • Must have reliable transportation
