Job Description: Leidos Defense and Intelligence group is seeking a DB2 Administrator to support the IT programs at the Navy Personnel Command in Millington Tennessee.  The candidate will perform tasks relating to IBM DB2 Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. 
Candidate could be responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area. Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution. Communicates with internal and client project team members.  Duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

Basic Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of prior relevant experience. Experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Requires a strong understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas. IBM DB2 certification. Must obtain SECURITY + certification (CE) prior to start date. Must be able to obtain interim secret clearance prior to start date. Experience working with IBM Content Manager.  DB2 experience working in both AIX and Windows.  Should be familiar with the following software languages: JAVA/JEE, C++, Visual Basic, Action Script, ASP.NET (Class ASP/Web forms/MVC) and SQL.
