Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuresquality customer service for internal and external customers
  • Respondsto incoming customer service requests, both verbal and written
  • Identifiesand assesses customers' needs quickly and accurately
  • Solvesproblems systematically, using sound business judgment
  • Partnerswith other billing and eligibility department representatives to resolvecomplex customer service inquiries
  • Monitorsdelegated customer service issues to ensure timely and accurate resolution
  • Appliesappropriate communication techniques when responding to customers, particularlyin stressful situations
  • Placesoutgoing phone calls to complete follow-up on customer service requests asnecessary
  • Respondsto customer service inquiries in writing as necessary
  • Establishesand demonstrates competency in eligibility, billing and receivable systems andassociated applications
  • Implementscustomer service strategies and recommends related improvements / enhancements
  • Maintainstimely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions
  • Makescorrections and adjustments
  • Otherduties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • HighSchool Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ yearsof customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems OR 1+years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone andcomputer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
  • 2+ yearsof experience with Internet Explorer
  • 2+ yearsof experience with Microsoft Excel including data entry, sorting, creating, andmodifying spreadsheets
  • 2+ yearsof experience with Microsoft Word including data entry and documentationcreation
  • 2+ yearsof experience with Microsoft Outlook including email communications andcalendar
  • Comfortableworking Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm and mandatory overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeof managed care industry
  • Healthcareexperience
  • Knowledgeof Billing / Finance and Eligibility processes, practices and concepts
  • Callcenter experience

Physical and Work Environment:

  • Frequentspeaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers acrosskeyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
  • Servicecenter environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking,computers, printers, and floor activity
