We are seeking an Accessioner-Data Entry Processor-AM SHIFT to work in our Laboratory in Irvine. This is a full time role and the hours we are hiring for is 2:30 pm-11:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Entering all required information supplied by clients accurately into a variety of databases, and ensuring the order is correctly established for workflows. This includes, but is not limited to, applying the appropriate holds to testing as needed, attaching paperwork received to the correct patient record, and documenting any issues with the specimen and/or paperwork.
Ensuring specimen integrity; that the labels on the specimens coincide with the paperwork provided, and internally generated accession numbers are affixed to the correct specimen.
Contacting our clients and/or patients to confirm information that was not provided, but needs to be verified, and maintaining both personal and department shared follow up work lists. Complying with all laboratory safety requirements, including wearing the appropriate PPE.
A high school diploma (or its equivalency).
Laboratory experience or research experience from school preferred.
Computer skills of at least 45 wpm and 10 key.
Detail oriented with strong, accurate data entry skills.
Must be flexible, motivated and have a positive work attitude.
Excellent customer service skills: may need to provide customer service to clients after hours.
