BACKGROUND:

Our Enterprise Technology Strategy has the vision for a bold, forward-looking technology capability that is key to driving innovation and growth. Technology is disrupting industries and Cardinal Health plans to leverage technology to compete and disrupt within the healthcare sector. Key themes within this strategy will require transformation across the IT function, such as changing how we work by transitioning from a project to a product centric model and adopting automation through DevSecOps practices.  Additionally, we are investing in our people through reskilling and upskilling initiatives offered by our newly formed Digital University.  The Digital University is focused on developing the digital roles needed now and in the future across both business and technology team members.   

As a key leader within the Enterprise Transformation Services organization, the Transformation Director will:

1. Be a key advocate for all technology transformational change across both our technology and business teams

2. Partner with HR to lead strategic planning for the enterprise-wide Digital University

3. Lead the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team focused on change programs that support our major technology initiatives


BASIC FUNCTION:

As a key leader within the Enterprise Transformation Services organization, the Transformation Director will:

  • Be a key advocate for all technology transformational change across both our technology and business teams
  • Partner with HR to lead strategic planning for the enterprise-wide Digital University
  • Lead the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team focused on change programs that support our major technology initiatives

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design and execute an organizational change strategy that supports our EIT transformation toward a product centric model, DevSecOps adoption, and upskilling/reskilling programs.
  • Partner and collaborate with executive and senior leaders across both technology and non-technology teams to plan and implement transformation initiatives.
  • Influence enterprise technology strategy initiatives and partner with leaders to drive initiative planning and execution
  • Partner with HR functions to lead strategy development for digital reskilling and upskilling technology and business employees
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the implementation and sustainability of the Digital University
  • Implement organizational metrics to measure the successful transformational outcomes
  • Provide visibility and change management leadership to drive awareness and the successful implementation of transformational initiatives.
  • Evangelize transformational change through identification and communication of success stories and outcomes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experience and leadership toward agile transformations. 
  • Understanding of Agile, product management, product-centric operational models and DevSecOps tools, models, architectures and concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Ability to influence change across senior leadership, team members and key stakeholders through relationship building and collaboration
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation and conflict management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills – effective at developing creative solutions and removing barriers
  • Experience planning, leading and implementing training and/or development programs

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s and advanced degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years’ experience in related field
  • Prior supervisory and team leadership experience
