Develops the organization's long-term strategic plan(s) related to business development, analysis of new business opportunities through market research to ensure continued successful growth and profitability for the expansion of CSL Plasma’s international footprint.
1 Direct business expansion efforts to establish collection centers in Mexico and other ex-US jurisdictions. Lead cross functional team with internal and external business partners, developing and executing a path to the successful collection of plasma in new jurisdictions.
2 Directly partner and support the Head of International Plasma Operations on international expansion plans
3 Ensures effective corporate leadership and internal/external stakeholder communication, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all requirements and deliverables.
4 Own and Direct the day-to-day expansion project plan to ensure the growth/opening of new centers.
5 Cultivate partnerships that support and encourage participation and innovation in creating problem-solving strategies that enable the team to meet corporate objectives.
6 Investigate and develop plans to overcome regulatory hurdles. Ensures that all CSL facilities meet/exceed necessary regulatory and safety requirements.
7 Responsible for all aspects of financial oversight for International Business Development, to include conducting due diligence and ensures the reliability of inputs and outputs of financial modeling, the development and approval of annual budget and ensuring adherence to monthly financial targets.
8 Responsible for supporting strategic business development that are aligned with the organizations’ overall vision and strategy for international expansion & growth opportunities.
9 Evaluates and negotiates acquisitions, licensing opportunities and strategic business alliances that are in line with the organization's long-range international goals.
10 Identifies, analyzes and compares alternative opportunities for entering new markets.
11 Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or biological sciences program required
- Master’s Degree in business administration or biological sciences preferred
- Minimum 10 years management experience, including managing employees required
- Experience managing multi-site locations, international experience preferred
- Experience managing cross-functional projects preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish required

- Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials such as authoritative reports of major scope and impact and/or make formal presentations
- Overnight travel required up to 50% of the time without lengthy lead-time
