Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.


Position Accountabilities  

  • Provide leadership to direct reports and peers across the region
  • Manage an organizational budget
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals
  • Assist in the development of functional strategy
  • Make decisions that have an extended impact on work processes, outcomes and customers
  • Interact with internal and/or external leaders, including senior management
  • Persuade others into agreement for sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships
  • Profiling lead for the region; Optislot subject matter expert and drive standardization in region
  • Weekly analysis of IM metrics and review
  • Inventory Manager subject matter expert
  • Train all new inventory managers
  • Liaison with manufacturers and sourcing to improve product packaging and integrity
  • Off boarding customer lead; removal of slow move and no move inventory
  • Customer RFPs for inventory and transportation
  • Customer Buying Group interactions
  • Customer/Sales rep liaison; educate and train on items like dynamic allocation and service level reporting
  • Visit and interface with customers, as needed

Position Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 7-10 years experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Warehouse management systems implementation and maintenance experience required; Manhattan experience strongly preferred
