Description

Directs and coordinates activities and functions of pharmacy. Plans and implements procedures in hospital healthcare according to hospital policies and legal requirements. Assures productivity and financial goals are met. Responsible for management of a major operating unit or a very large staff support function. May be over a 'service line' of multiple clinical departments and related operations. Typically a large area with a single overall focus which may be organized as multiple cost centers. Maintains knowledge of market/competitor trends. Defines goals and outcomes for department.



Requirements
Education/Skills Degree in Pharmacy, Pharm. D. preferred   Experience Min 5 years hospital related pharmacy experience, retail pharmacy experience helpful, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.  Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Current Texas Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) license
