Day-to-day responsibilities will involve activities aimed at developing the individual for a District Sales Manager territory position. 

This will entail extensive travel, observing district sales managers in everyday activities, working closely with the CSR and Strategy teams, and other assignments as noted below.

At completion of training program, the individual must be willing to relocate in one of the company sales district territories in the United States and Canada. As well the individual will agree to possible relocation 3-4 years after the initial assignment.

Product and Process Familiarization

The individual may also be assigned to a training territory to experience job requirements first hand by calling on the territory's dealers, working with them on day-to-day issues.

During the training period, the individual will learn details of products, accessories and services as well as the marketing/business functions and other job requirements of a District Sales Manager. They will work closely with the Customer Service team to learn how they support District Managers.

While working with the Customer Service team the individual may be responsible for responding to daily emails and answering dealer questions over the phone. They will also learn how to provide quotes to dealers on parts for their machinges and advise on the availability and suitability of parts with respect to their application/needs. They will also learn how the CSR team works with District Sales and Service Managers to manage dealer/customer relationships in order to help develop and grow the business by resolving dealer inquiries.

As product competencies develop, the individual may assist in the training of dealer salesmen both individually and in group situations. Duties may also include product demonstrations, participation in dealer open houses, trade shows and fairs, answering phone questions as well as participating in market research products.

Job Requirement

Knowledge & Skill

  • A background/aptitude in agricultural, construction or industrial.
  • Ability to operate construction machinery is a plus.
  • Must be able to apply learned product knowledge to potential customer applications.
  • Must know where to find information required by customer and/or sales specialist.
  • SAP Experience a plus.
  • Outside Sales Exeperience a plus.
  • Some mechanical work and moderate lifting may be required.
  • Must have a clean driving record and possess a valid drivers license.
  • Experience 0>2 years
  • Travel >50%
