E-Mobility Region Service Sales Specialist - EV Charging

This US Region Service Sales Specialist has the task of delivering the various service portfolio to ABB customers within the Electrification EL e-Mobility in US, helping to drive sales volumes and margins across the Service product portfolio and regularly updating the database with changes made on-site.

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will be part of the Regional Service team developing the Sales Level Agreements scope, promotion and implementation. You will use your technical and commercial knowledge to advise the local service teams and clients about the options of various service concepts provided by ABB, the aim of which is a significant contribution to the growth and success of our department.

Ideal candidates for this will be based in either Houston, TX or Tempe, AZ; however we will consider a remote option with frequent travel to one of the noted locations.



Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for supporting the sales of our contracts in the Region regarding maintenance, monitoring, spare parts and service level agreements
  • You will work in close contact with the Global Service Sales team that develop the Service offerings based on XaaS models and recurrent revenues
  • You will maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, customer trends and installed base landscape in the Region to support the Global Service Sales team in the development of new services offering
  • You will prepare business plans focused on business development for the market in the Region
  • You will support your Sales colleagues in the Region to determine the optimal and most cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs
  • You have frequent contact with the factories and local service organizations in various countries to ensure that price and delivery negotiations run smoothly
  • You own the tender process for regional cross-border projects
  • You will attend Customer meetings with the Local Sales colleagues for large and/or cross border projects in the Region to proactively promote the Service offering
  • You will support the risk review for large or cross border projects in the Region, following formal commercial processes with clear communication of documents and information
  • Providing support and input in meetings, presentations and process developments
  • Analyzing customer and local sales units needs and resources to pro-actively finding solution by an extraordinary out-of-box thinking



Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in an electro/ energy technology concentration with 5 years of account management, sales, or field engineering experience preferably in a service environment
  • Ability to drive results through solution-oriented thinking leveraging commercial insights in alignment with client’s needs
  • Enthusiastic, team player with strong collaborative and influencing skills
  • Experience or knowledge of remote services operations with a passion for technology and digital solutions.
  • Fluency in English language; Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a high demand, customer-centric, outcomes-based environment
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and passport to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% based upon business need
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
