TowerDIRECT is a multifaceted EMS solution to support our patients, co-workers, and communities. Initially, TowerDIRECT will focus on:
- Emergency 911 responses to municipalities
- Interfacility Transport Services
- Critical Care Transport Services
- EMS Outreach
- Community Paramedicine
Establishing TowerDIRECT provides Tower Health with a platform to improve the operations and sustainability of emergency, non-emergency, critical care, and pediatric patient transport services.
The Communication Coordinator assists the Transfer Center nurse in the management and through put of patients into, out of, and within the Tower Heath,
Health System. This includes but is not limited to assistance with patient placement, direct admissions, transfers, and referrals. The Transfer Center
Communication Coordinator also performs EMS call intake, performs emergency medical dispatch triage, dispatches TowerDIRECT EMS and wheelchair units and
outsources transport requests that are not being handled by TowerDIRECT units.
2 year/Associate Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate's Degree
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS (MAY VARY BASED ON DEPARTMENT NEEDS).
PA DOH EMT or Paramedic
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR
National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 700, 800, 100, & 200 within 6 months of hire
Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) within 6 months of hire
