The successful candidate will assist the 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron (36 EWS), 36 EWS, at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 36 EWS is apart of the 53 Electronic Warfare Group (EWG) which is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF).
Essential Job Functions:
The mission of the 53 EWG is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat.
This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, Force Development Evaluation execution and facilitating Foreign Materiel Exploitation.
The successful candidate will provide ovearall program security management for the 36 EWS Advanced Programs Office IAW applicable Air Force and DoD Security Directives. The candidate will serve as a Security Specialist and security advisor, providing oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (physical, personnel, information, computer, industrial, operations, and communications security) in support of the 53d EWG’s advanced and special access programs (SAPs).
Act as subject matter expert for all AF and DoD regulations and manuals for SAP and contractor security to include the NISPOM, DoD 5200.01 Vol 1-4, DoD 5205.07 Vol 1-4, and ICD-705.
Assist the Program Manager (PM) in implementing security awareness and training program throughout entire work section.
Review and make recommendations on the methods and techniques required to secure Automated Information System (AIS) systems.
Advise and assist the PM in providing technical guidance and direction during new facility construction or when modifying existing facilities. Assist the PM in providing guidance to unit-level security managers regarding program security. Assist the PM in providing overall classification management and guidance for government and Department of Defense (DoD) contractors involved in squadron special access programs. Provide advice and assistance to the PM on guidance to local and subordinate units on implementation of applicable government security standards.
Develop, review and recommend for approval unit security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Assist the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in providing technical guidance and recommendations. Review System Security Plans (SSP) and recommend for approval.
Provide support for research, design, and implementation of an AIS security-training program. Provide policy and procedural recommendations to Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) concerning certification and accreditation for 36 EWS activities.
Ensure personnel processed for access meet the prerequisite personnel clearance and/or investigative requirements.
Assist the PM and GSSO with Emissions Security (EMSEC) and Operations Security (OPSEC). Review and make recommendation in the methods and techniques required to secure AIS systems. Perform evaluation on systems to make sure AIS is working properly. Review, process, and complete documents and electronic databases for processing personnel security.
Ensure adherence to special communications capabilities as directed by the PM/GSSO. Prepare comprehensive SOPs to implement security policies and requirements and recommend approval. Assist the PM/GSSO with conducting annual security self-inspections in accordance with SAP directives. Screen candidates for SAP access eligibility using DoD 5205.7, SAP Policy.
Prepares accreditation packages to include fixed facility checklists, facility and alarm diagrams, inspectable space determinations, and other essential physical security documents for approval by ACC, DIA, and SAF/AAZ.
Supports the classification management program and supports SAP manager in developing classification guidance and making personnel security decisions.
Implements and administers this program and serves as a security professional for development, testing, fielding, and protection of advanced and SAP technologies.
Develops and administers security plans and procedures for personnel and facilities that support advanced programs or SAPs.
Reviews and coordinates on contractor visitor security group agreements and DD Forms 254 for technical accuracy, extent of security protection required, and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
An Associate's degree with 12 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or a Master’s Degree plus 6 years of experience is required.
Must have a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain with access to SCI and SAPs.
Employee may be required to take a random counter-intelligence polygraph and submit to background checks as a condition of employment and/or continued access to SAPs.
The candidate may be subject to the possibility of random drug tests.
Certification: DOD Security Certification is mandatory in accordance with DODM3305.13-M.
An in-depth knowledge of the SAP physical security program and the knowledge required to implement DOD, USAF, DIA, and MAJCOM policies and directives for the construction, protection, and operation of all advanced programs facilities.
An in-depth knowledge of the personnel security program and the knowledge to establish procedures for processing requests for security accesses for military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
