The Endoscopy Technician functions within the policies and procedures of Brandywine Hospital and the Nursing Division. The primary job responsibility is in Endoscopy with tasks supportive to department activities and the Hospital as a whole. Assignment and directions come from registered nurses within the department. Contributes to positive and harmonious interpersonal relationships with coworkers and others, and assists in maintaining a safe working environment. The Endoscopy Technician is responsible to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the assigned area.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience assisting with endoscopy procedures.
• Handles endoscopy equipment carefully.
• Previous experience preferred regarding direct patient care, EKG and phlebotomy skills.
• Able to speak, read and write English with legible penmanship.
• Requires flexibility and stability in physical and emotional response to multiple activities.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Uses computer and telephone correctly.
Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS certification required
