Job Title:       Facilities Maintenance Technician 
Hours/days:   7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday) 
Pay Range:    $15.00 to 16.00 per hour (DOE)  
Term:             Temporary to Hire 

Job Description
       
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing duties to troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor building, HVAC (changing filters etc.)  plumbing (fix clogged sinks etc.), electrical (changing light bulbs) and painting repairs as necessary
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Complete inspections of offices, laboratories and mechanical/safety systems
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested such as office moves, installations and special set-up requests
  • Perform general cleaning and floor care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
  • Ability learn and use various computer systems and programs
