General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Field Service Support Specialist (FSSS) will support the Account Management team to achieve budgeted sales volume, margin & individual customer contribution by implementing a product application system strategy. The FSSS will design the equipment and installation strategy to support application of antioxidants within rendering plants and pet food plants. WE team members will work together to identify market trends / needs and contribute to the overall business plan for the long-term success of the business. The FSSS will be a frequent presenter and is expected to be a leader in the industry.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years related work experience in Field Service Support and/or Management roles with Rendering and Pet Food Manufacturing expertise a plus
  • Successful track record (demonstrable over a sustained period) in a results driven hands on role where managing, leading and implementing field based sales support resources & tactics was a key element in the pet food or rendering related industries.
  • Familiar with customer segmentation concepts and knowledge of sales processes and Key Account Management principles
  • Identifies future policies, practices and trends within the Pet Food/Rendering Market and with competition in the marketplace.
  • Consistently applies a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions within the pet food/rendering market and cross functionally within Wilbur Ellis.

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Ensure Wilbur Ellis Nutrition sell/introduce new products at every opportunity to support customer solutions throughout the region.
    • Provide an optimum cost maintenance program to the customer and the application systems located at their premises.
    • Achieve budgeted maintenance costs.
    • Ensure an effective installation service is provided ensuring all costs are within projected levels for each new installation.
    • Carry out site surveys as required and prepare application system proposals for the Sales/Account management team.
    • In conjunction with the all other customer account team members ensure all products and services are being utilized to the optimum in each customer account.
    • Within an agreed framework submit all reports in a complete, accurate and timely basis
    • Ensure workloads are prioritized to enable “in-field” customer account management and the support of new business development take priority.
  • Ensure all Customer Accounts are provided with both an (O.T.I.F) “on time in full” optimum cost product delivery service and an installation and on-going maintenance program for the application systems delivering Wilbur Ellis Nutrition products.
  • Assist in the design, development and maintenance of Wilbur Ellis Nutrition procedures for the safe building, installation and maintenance of all Wilbur Ellis application equipment.
  • Report agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly / monthly basis and ensure that all customer service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Review and suggest amendments to all current supply chain processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, accurate and are managed in the most efficient way.
  • Continually review & develop fit for purpose and cost-effective application equipment either internally or with outsourced partners. All equipment & documentation to conform to the relevant national or international standards.
  • Work with Regulatory colleagues to ensure full product adherence to all individual state, country, national & Federal regulatory requirements
  • Deep enduring relationships developed with Key Regional influencers and consultants.
  • Meet Wilbur Ellis Nutrition expectations inclusive of stretch goals through appropriate resource management, strategic innovative thinking.
  • This territory covers the following North America, Central America and South America
