Review and execution of scopes of work for projects within trade discipline.
Study drawings, specifications, and quality assurance programs to fully understand each project's unique requirements and ensure proper layout.
Review project documents in advance to check for all required information, notifying the Project
Management Department if any additional information is needed, leverage Assistant Field Superintendent if applicable.
Assist Project Management in preparation of Submittals and RPI' s.
Inspect and review jobs to monitor compliance with building codes.
Conduct pre-job walks as necessary to confirm budgeted hours.
Immediately bring any budget issues to appropriate project manager.
Ensure foremen responsible for keeping within the budgets on their jobs.
Primary point of contact, for the division they manage, with external clients.
Monitoring ofjob progress through communication, management tools, by on-site visits and off-site communication to ensure project proceeds on established schedule.
Ensure scheduling of all work within trade discipline and communicate that information to clients.
Direct supervision of all field crew within field discipline.
Manage punch lists and ensure all corrective actions have been taken.
Review completed jobs on site on a job-by-job basis as needed.
On-site problem solving with tradesmen, project managers, and clients.
Assist Project Managers with estimating feedback and job walks as required.
Conduct and/or coordinate all necessary initial and recurrency training for field personnel.
Ensure all jobs and all operations are at company Quality Standards.
Ensure safety compliance on job sites.
Enforce all company policies and standards through issuance of corrective action and/or retraining. Conduct employee reviews and offer input on raises and promotions, if applicable.
Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the specific trades and 2 years' experience in a management position.
Minimum 5 years' experience of the construction industry is required.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to communicate in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Must be able to communicate via traditional electronic media such as telephones, email, and text.
