Description
    Assists Volunteer Coordinator for Auxiliary with the sales operation of Gift Shop sponsored by St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to selling, staffing, stocking and maintenance of the Gift Shop.


Requirements

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required. College level courses in retail merchandising preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:

SKILLS: Must possess strong retail skills. Communicates effectively with a diverse group of people. Maintain good customer relations. Be able to work with a broad range of volunteers of different ages and experience. Have ability to plan, organize and report on Gift Shop operations. Must be able to operate Gift Shop in absence of supervision.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years in retail sales including stocking and inventory control of small retail business.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Working hours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop and communicate written materials. Frequent prolonged periods of sitting. Extensive use of hands for writing and use of computer. Moderate physical effort (able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds).
