The Global DLP Lead is a critical member of the Data Loss Prevention team. The primary role of the Global DLP Lead is to gather, interpret and evaluate DLP events to determine significance and reliability in order to accurately identify improper use of CSL’s sensitive data. This role is necessary to interact with analysts provided by the Managed Service Partner, relay tasks, and provide guidance for investigations into data loss events.
Principal Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of Data Loss Prevention standards, strategies, and plans.
Set priorities and oversee the delivery of the Managed Service Partner to ensure quality of service delivery.
Recognized, specific expertise in areas such as threat and/or risk models, discerning patterns of complex behavior, and an understanding of present and future threats to intellectual property.
Provide technical input, decision recommendations, support project business case development, and manage large projects with limited oversight from manager.
Sustain high level of performance while managing multiple demands simultaneously, including often complex problems that may require analysis and consideration of other job areas.
Provide critical review, training, and guidance to further the DLP Analyst skills and understanding of team members.
Be guided in the performance of daily duties by existing and anticipated Data Privacy and Intellectual Property Protection legislation and regulations worldwide as well as a thorough knowledge and understanding of company policy and technical best practices.
Responsible for ensuring Managed Service Partner complies with the appropriate regulatory guidelines, QMS (global BT Quality Management System) and ISF I&T policies, standards, procedures, and operational work instructions and SOPs. Where needed, the Global DLP Lead will participate in the development of these documents.
Participate in the research and selection of new DLP technologies.
Partner with other infrastructure Team Members to learn, develop and enhance the skills needed to support DLP within this complex environment
Ability to gain confidence of client, team, and other provider teams by meeting operational objectives and improving processes where feasible
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university, advanced degree or other professional certification in Management Information Systems is preferred.
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of data loss prevention including User and Entity Behavior Analysis (UEBA), preferably in a Pharma/Biotech environment
7+ years direct experience with Forcepoint, Elastic EDR, Elastic SIEM or similar endpoint/SIEM products
7+ years intelligence analyst or SOC analyst experience
5+ years managing security or intelligence analysts
Understanding of ISO 2700X series and NIST security frameworks
CISSP, Insider Threat Program Manager or similar relevant certification
Preferred Skills & Experience (not required):
Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness in previous work experience is essential, as is impartiality and objectiveness when evaluating facts and an ability to display sound judgement when deciding amongst several alternatives.
Ability to rapidly adapt to changing assignments and successfully multi-task
Experience with project management or similar organizational skills
Fully supportive of others individuality and respect for diverse backgrounds/viewpoints in a collaborative, team-oriented problem-solving environment
