I am currently sourcing for a Globally Payroll Manager on a temporary basis for 8-10 weeks in San Mateo.

Position: Global Payroll Manager
Location: San Mateo

Global Payroll MUST  HAVE:
  • Strong with Excel
  • MUST have ADP Workforce Now;
  • Workday, highly preferred
  • Lead Payroll person; no Supervisor responsibilities
  • U.S. Payroll (45%) | Int'l (India, Europe - 55%)
  • Approximately 1100 employees; most are salaried, with 15 - 20 Non-Exempt
Global Payroll Manager Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for processing semi-monthly US payroll by administering, submitting and reconciling hourly timecard and salaried employee pay, leave of absence, retroactive payments, bonuses and commissions, etc.
  • Review and approve monthly international payroll runs
  • Review off-cycle manual checks as needed for terminations or other special payments
  • Research pay discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries on a timely basis
  • Partner with HR team members to ensure accuracy of Workday/ADP data bridge
  • Review reconciliation of 401k, FSA, and the setup of garnishment and applicable payroll deductions
  • Assist in preparing journal entries and reviewing monthly/quarterly/annual GL payroll account reconciliation related to salaries, bonus, and paid time off
  • Update and maintain payroll policies for all process steps and constituent groups
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Maintains payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training employees and appraising job results.

Global Payroll Manager Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years in payroll and/or accounting functions, Bachelor's degree or related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general payroll practices, IRS and State tax regulations.
  • Multi-state payroll experience, with proficiency in ADP Workforce Now processes and reporting, ADP iPay administration; related systems such as Workday and NetSuite a plus
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, look-ups, formulas)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex problems/data clearly and concisely
