Summary: Trained to tend, operate and oversee all ofthe operator areas within the mill (i.e. receiving, batching, production floor,loadout, etc.) to assure compliance with established procedures relative toquality, productivity and safety by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: include thefollowing. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate loading/unloading equipment to ship orreceive grain products.
Inspect grain facilities daily to ensure equipmentmaintains proper condition of stored grains.
Help facility manager schedule logistics as theypertain to inbound and outbound grain.
Maintain and handle inventories to maximize SFDprofitability including grain movements, condition, blending of grain/grainproducts.
Identify any problems or improvements and work withfacility manager to find solutions.
- Deal proficiently with customers on a daily basis.
Assist in implementing any specific work or safetyprograms set forth by SFD.
Responsible for being in compliance with allenvironmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Foods and Smithfield HogProduction subscribes.
Report all environmental issues immediately tosupervisor.
Read and understand the company’s emergencynotification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at theirwork site.
