Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Greeter/ Intake clerk in an amazing Raleigh office!
-This position reports to the Administrative Services Manager and Senior Manager Administrative Services, Quality and Compliance.
1) General Duties
a) Maintains standards of professional care and maintains patient confidentiality.
b) Implements policies and procedures
c) Performs job responsibilities in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
d) Acquires required information from patient / referring physician for registration processing.
e) Reports and records pertinent information in the RIS.
f) Assists patients, visitors, co-workers and vendors. Engages with all customers to ensure a positive experience
g) Participates in economical utilization of supplies.
h) Maintains clean, neat, professional workspace, focusing on protection of confidential information. Personal items are kept at a minimum and out of view of non-employees.
i) Maintains clean waiting rooms and patient restrooms.
j) Assures that equipment is always maintained and available for use.
k) Assists co-workers and physicians to ensure timely and accurate delivery of care.
l) Establishes and maintains open communication.
m) Contacts physician offices to request necessary patient information or documentation.
n) Assists with / or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse occurrences in patients.
o) Maintains clean, safe and well-maintained supplied environment for patient and staff.
p) On regular, sustained basis, cooperates with other staff members both inside and outside the department in accomplishment of own job duties as well as assisting other in accomplishing theirs; serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization, always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness and respect; conducts oneself in service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with team members, visitors, public and all employees.
q) Performs other duties and accepts responsibility, as assigned.
Patient Interaction/Record Management
a) Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained.
b) Obtains pertinent medical / insurance information to complete job assignment.
c) Answers questions from patients in scope of knowledge. Directs questions to appropriate personnel if unable to answer questions.
d) Observes and assesses patients on an ongoing basis throughout patient visit
a) Adheres to safety / infection control policies and procedures.
b) Reports unsafe equipment and assures follow-up.
c) Assesses patients and plans appropriately for safety / infection control.
d) Assures that all equipment necessary for performance of job is readily available and in working order.
e) Reports incidents and unusual occurrences according to department policies.
a) Maintains the strictest confidentiality of all facility and facility related employee / patient information.
b) Performs other duties as assigned.
III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE
A. Education: High School Graduate
B. Experience: Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred. Exposure to computerized medical records or radiology information systems helpful.
C. Certification: None
D. Licensure: None
