The Head of Enterprise Data & Analytics Engineering is a critical role in our modernization and enterprise orchestration of a data-driven future for CSL Behring’s 2030 vision. The role is responsible for the stewardship of our global technology stack and for data and analytics and its future evolution and engineering for the CSL Behring enterprise across all its functional and P&L business units (BUs). The leader will be a senior leader within the Enterprise Information and Technology (I&T) organization as well as a senior member of the Information Insights and Analytics Leadership Team (IALT) with a global team of 9-10 employees and an equally diverse partner eco-system for execution and delivery of a myriad of data and analytics capabilities.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Data, information & Analytics Platforms (hybrid / on-prem) DevOps
Core Management of all data & analytics platforms, including capacity & demand management and planning, monitoring and alerts
Responsible for the development, delivery and continuous improvement Data Platform and Data Integration DevOps (include ingestion, mapping, migration, conversion, and sources)
Accountable for enabling uniformity of usage and data pipelines across the BU data and analytics delivery teams
Data, Insight and Analytics Digital Capability Strategy
Strategy for evolution of all at-scale data, insights and analytics (including AI/ML) platforms for the global enterprise
Responsible for the development and execution of the Data and Analytics Technology Capability Roadmaps
Data Management Tooling
Responsible for full suite of metadata technologies and enterprise platforms for metadata management including glossary, extended metadata & lineage
Develop and maintain metadata repository in addition to establishing and defining metadata architecture
Accountable for additional tech stack development and management for data governance, data quality and data issue management and resolution
Master Data Management Systems
Responsible for driving master data systems strategy, planning & execution
Responsible for implementation and maintenance of fit-for-purpose Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Meshes and Data Lakehouses, semantically linked data eco-systems (internal and external)
Data Search Tools for the Enterprise Analytics Environment
Responsible for appropriate tooling that enables enterprise data assets to be searchable including optimization of search patterns
Responsible for data integration DevOps and data integration pattern framework leveraging enterprise data hubs and hub-of-hubs
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent
10+ years information and technology experience, including specific experience in data and analytics domain including data warehousing, lakes, data meshes, virtualization technologies, and full complement of analytics platforms and maturity from rudimentary descriptive analytics to advanced decision sciences support (ML/AI technologies included)
3+ years’ experience with cloud-based implementations of enterprise data and analytics environments
Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable.
Computer science/computer engineering bachelors or equivalent experience
Proven track record of software product architecture, development and delivery
Demonstrated ability to influence at all organizational levels through clear, concise, and impactful verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build, mentor and grow a high performing and cohesive team.
Adaptable to handle a fast-paced working environment.
