Job description

Overview:
This position will work collaboratively with teams of analysts, actuaries, and others to lead a variety of Health Practice projects.

Primary responsibilities include:
Assist in the development of budget projections, financial and utilization reports, and reserve calculations
Review and analyze data including demographics, claims experience, and financial performance
Prepare reports and memoranda communicating results of analysis to consultants and clients
Support development of requests for proposals and analysis of responses
Interact effectively at senior levels with health benefits staff, consultants and clients on more complex matters
Serve as key client contact on routine matters and attend client meetings as needed
Train and mentor health benefit analysts and provide peer review of work for accuracy, completeness, and quality
Plan and lead complex projects from inception to completion including defining deliverables, creating timelines, and monitoring progress.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor26rsquo;s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
At least 7 years of health benefits, managed care, and/or actuarial/underwriting experience
Advanced or higher proficiency in MS Excel

Preferred qualifications:
Experience presenting the results of actuarial models/studies to internal business partners and/or external clients
Data analysis work experience including data management, transformation, and visualization
Proficiency with VBA, MS Access, SQL (Structured Query Language), or SAS (Statistical Analysis System)
Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal forms of communication
