The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Physician Assistants, Technologists and Nurses who each bring expertise to the provision of imaging services. The Radiology Technologist performs angiography procedures, assisting with image acquisitions, image processing , inventory maintenance, statistics and other assistive roles as defined by the area assigned. Knowledge of aseptic technique a plus for learning selective scrub roles. The imaging environment includes but is not limited to Hybrid OR, Interventional Radiology, Endovascular. Technologists must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology and maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. Ensures the delivery of quality imaging while remaining sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient. Demonstrates professional and ethical judgment, along with flexibility to be a change agent. Engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.. Two years Radiology imaging experience required; CT knowledge helpful; 1 year IR experience required and must be VI certified or VI eligible within 1 year of hire. Energetic, progressive thinking person. Multi-modality on the job training provided.

- Graduate of a J.R.C.E.R.T. accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
