Job Description

Please Note: This is a 12 hour Day Shift Position. Associates will work a rotating Bi-Weekly schedule that will include working every other weekend

The Line Set-up associate is responsible for setting up and maintaining packaging equipment. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures proper setup of the packaging line before and during a job run
  • Ensures the line is running at its maximum potential during a job run 
  • Follows all procedures set forth in the setup procedure 
  • Assists the line attendants and mechanics
  • Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines

Job requirements

  • Must have prior mechanical or manufacturing machine operator experience 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
  • Basic mathematical skills 
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc within a manufacturing environment
  • Position may require lifting up to 50lbs. 
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
