The Logistics Coordinator – 2nd Shift is a key materials position with various responsibility that could include resolving outbound shipping errors, perform delivery completion activities for all product line areas and / or OME activities within our Mebane, NC facility.

Your responsibilities

  • • Must be willing to work 2nd Shift
  • • Intervene with other coordinators daily to identify issues requiring resolution
  • • Monitor outbound orders, minimize orders not processed
  • • Log and troubleshoot blocked shipments; work with customer service as necessary to ship product timely
  • • Notify outbound carriers for pick ups and ensure pick up of delivery is completed on time and for the correct delivery; inclusive of LTL, small package, dedicated truck, customer-specified carriers, and customer pick-ups. Interface with customer service as necessary to complete the schedule in a timely manner.
  • • Complete the delivery post goods issue and prepare documentation for carriers, inclusive of Bill of Lading and Pro forma Invoices. Ensure all tracking information is properly entered in SAP.
  • • Combine Bill of Lading documents for a single customer into a Master Bill of Lading.
  • • Complete complex deliveries, including milestones
  • • Communicate to correct team mebers with the order shipment and status updates as required
  • • Packaging od shipments as required, including STO’s
  • • Provide timely and accurate response to emails in the Mebane Logistics mailbox and personal email
  • • File and store shipping documentation
  • • Handle reconsignments
  • • Other duties as assigned

Your background

  • • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States
  • • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • • 2 years’ experience in a Shipping, Logistics or Warehouse environment.
  • • 1+ year experience Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and using SAP
  • • Must have or be willing to obtain a forklift certification
  • • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
  • • Excellent initiative, teamwork, flexibility, and attention to detail
  • • Works alone or as part of a team
  • • Ability to understand and carry out oral & written instructions with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
