Job description

Our Food  client is seeking Blening Machine Operators to join their team. Their shifts are rotating and 6AM/6PM OR 6PM/6AM...


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reads and interprets specifications of work orders.

  • Monitors & adjusts machine controls to regulate process control parameters such as speed, tension, wire length, spool size in accordance with verbal direction or process documentation.

  • Responsible for detecting product quality defects.

  • Places reel(s) of specified wire onto pay off spindle of machine (weighing up to 100lbs) and threads wire through feed rolls.

  • Starts machine and observes operation to assure machine(s) are running properly.

  • Verifies wire sizes and calibrations using micrometer and Acromag.

  • Examines wire for visual conformance to specifications and removes defects or defective pieces.

  • Properly identifies and tags finished goods, records production data, and fills out associated production paperwork.

  • Maintains acceptable productivity levels per established standards.

  • Practices 5S / Lean principles, follows safety procedures and adheres to established quality policies.

Job requirements

Education and/or Experience:                                                

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • 1 year previous machine operation experience

  • Mechanical Aptitude


    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Language Skills:  Ability to speak effectively with co-workers, supervision, and other employees within the organization.


    Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate dimensions.  Knowledge to apply mathematical applications relating to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


    Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems.  Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, schedules, etc


    Physical Demands:  The physical demands include ability to frequently lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift to 100 lbs, standing for long periods of time, able to lean and have dexterity to handle tools and parts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position also requires occasionally sitting, stooping, kneeling.  Need ability to hear and be aware of surrounding area.
