The Maintenance Engineer will ensure the production and packaging equipment are performing to their optimal standards for output, safety while maintaining GMP.
Plan, organize and direct plant maintenance activities of the facility.
Create and execute contracts and negotiate changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Schedule Installation of machines and utility as well as establishes the initial Preventive Maintenance / Calibration activities for equipment / instruments that are in accordance with the GMP guidelines and specifications for that particular equipment / instrument class.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and site regulations.
Manages personnel and workers engaged in facility maintenance. This includes scheduling repairs and maintenance of utilities that provide heat, steam, electric power, gas, and compressed air.
Serves as contact person for all health and safety regulatory agencies i.e. OSHA, state, county and federal permitting agencies, EPA, Air Pollution Control, etc.
Extends, deactivates, and/or updates PM and Calibration activities through utilization of the PMO: PM / Calibration Optimization and Rationalization Program processes.
Notify Production Manager of submitted or pending change control documentation to ensure understanding and to prevent duplication.
Responsible for the creation and ownership of technical SOPs and qualification documents related to the Maintenance of Equipment.
Performs root cause failure analysis of equipment deficiencies, develops, changes, and/or initiates maintenance activities such as PM, CBM, lubrication, calibration, training, and spare parts to improve performance and equipment availability. Identify and manage the execution of remedial actions to prevent future occurrences.
