The Asset Management Department is responsible for effectively managing over 1,400 units owned and operated by the Housing Authority and is responsible for the centralized screening and selection of the Housing Authority's public housing residents.
The Management Assistant is responsible for assisting the Asset Manager by providing responsible confidential administrative work, in a wide range of administrative support services and assists in coordination of management/administrative activities of the Asset Management Department. This position must safeguard and not divulge inherently confidential information affecting the operations of the HACC, including sensitive personnel, legal, financial/budgetary, tenancy and programming/development matters. The Asset Manager when routinely involved with such sensitive matters must know and have confidence that their work and/or work product, which requires the involvement of their respective support staff, will not be inappropriately divulged to the detriment of the HACC, particularly those issues related to labor negotiations and other labor related matters.
The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great attention to detail and motivational qualities.

Required Qualifications and Education:
The minimum educational qualification required to be a Management Assistant is a High School graduate or possession of a GED and two (2) years of work experience in a private, non-profit, or government agency which included public contact and/or community, public relations, community organizing or related experience. An Associate's degree in management, public administration, social work, or related field, is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All appointees must have a valid Driver's License.
