ServiceMaster - Manager, Innovation & Development
This role, Manager – Innovation is responsible for driving organizational alignment for innovation initiatives. This individual will manage the complete end-to-end lifecycle of innovation projects from initial intake through implementation and monitoring. The Innovation Manager will be responsible for keeping project teams on course and aligned with the business strategy as well as providing visibility into project status and progress and establishing effective communication with key stakeholders and executives.
Determine apparent and latent needs of the market and customers and pinpoint gaps in ServiceMaster’s offerings.
Identify business opportunities in early phases through ongoing dialogues with business units and other key stakeholders across the value chain.
Identify new and innovative ideas (technologies, concepts, solutions and processes) with potential application to ServiceMaster’s diverse businesses and ensure alignment with strategy
Partner with leadership to facilitate prioritization, resourcing, and project planning and create and maintain the portfolio roadmap
Provide visibility and progress reporting to executive team and stakeholders on enterprise-level projects.
Identity and build relationships with internal and external strategic partners to accelerate new product and solutions development.
Build, test, and advance new concepts with sound desirability, feasibility and viability to pilot stage.
Formulate and deliver thought leadership material to appropriate stakeholders within the organization to inform strategic direction, ecosystem development, and product roadmaps.
Sustain and optimize a self-directed team model, fostering a culture of curiosity & learning and delivering high performance outcomes.
Related Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
5 - 10 years’ experience in business strategy, product development, product innovation or management consulting required.
Analytical, results oriented and process driven skills required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues into market opportunities and tangible concepts desired.
Ability to grow best-in-class, differentiated and creative products through sound vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution needed.
Highly collaborative and influential, with proven skills in developing a consensus from diverse opinions in a highly matrix environment preferred.
