Job description



Pulls, picks, to stores materials using work orders, reqs, manifests, in slips, etc.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 This will include but is not limited to the following:

  • Checks physical condition of materials to be delivered or stocked.
  • Operate a PC to lookup information pertaining to the material such as location and quantity.
  • Operate various lifting and moving equipment to handle material.
  • Verifies inventory levels and locations and notes any changes which need to be updated.
  • Prioritize work based on verbal and written communication.
  • Maintains acceptable levels of production.
  • Assists other members of warehouse team when needed.
  • Various other duties to assist department / facility needs.
  • Practices good safety and housekeeping procedures and adheres to all established policies and procedures. Report any safety concerns.
  • Ability to use HRIS System and on-line training requirements.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

To perform the basic job requirements the individual should have the following skills:

  • Good communication skills and ability to understand verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel and work over equipment for long periods of time.
  • Must be a good team player and have ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must know proper use of hand trucks.
  • Able to accurately count material by hand, or use scales to count small parts.
  • Able to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must be able to read and transpose part numbers as well as verify color codes.

Reasoning ability:

Ability to recognize potential issues and seek out assistance to have issues reviewed and corrected if appropriate.




Job requirements

Education and/or Experience:               

HS Diploma (or equivalent ) preferred

Ability to understand written and verbal instruction.

Basic Math skills



Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and work instructions.

Can articulate needs and concerns.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to do basic math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must be able to verify inventory levels.

 Reasoning ability:

Ability to recognize potential issues and seek out assistance to have issues reviewed and corrected if appropriate.



Physical Demands:

Physical demands may require to occasionally lift 50 lbs or more, long periods of sitting, kneeling, standing or leaning over equipment. Good vision is essential due to working with small parts as well as good depth perception. Adherence to safety regulations and awareness is extremely important. At times need to be able to go up and down steps as well as use lift truck to pull and put away stocks at various locations.



Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of use of Pc’s for keeping accurate inventory levels and locations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving forklifts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee will be exposed to heights when dealing with various stock locations.
