To succeed in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of billing software and medical insurance policies. The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as communicating with clients and various insurance agents will form a large part of the job.
Candidate must be able to perform a wide range of medical billing activities including:
Patient Phone calls
Medical coding (experience a PLUS, including E/m, HCPCS, ICD-10, Data entry of Health Record Coding and DRGManaging A/R and A/P dutiesMS Office reports
Must have a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Mail / Fax / File / Scan documents
Qualifications/Education must include:
Medical Billing Experience, 3 years (preferred)
Two-year Medical Billing Course (required)
Medical Terminology (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge in Excel
Experience with medical EHR and PM software
Knowledge of AdvancedMD a plus
