Job description

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for processing all medical records request from outside agencies and provides clerical and administrative support for center as needed.

  • Receives, records, and processes all external medical documents requests from outside agencies and individuals in accordance with PHC/LCSs PHI required and permissible uses and disclosures policy
  • Performs documentation and medical record audits according to outlined procedures as required
  • Records all disclosures of patient medical records in accordance with state and federal privacy laws and HIPAA regulations
  • Scans paperwork into patient charts
  • Maintains confidentiality of information


  • Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • One-year previous experience with Medical Records maintenance preferred
  • should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
