The chief technologist of the Nuclear Medicine Department provides direct support to the Administrative Director of Radiology and the Medical Director of
Nuclear Medicine. This position works collaboratively with leadership within the Radiology Dept. to ensure quality patient care. The chief technologist maintains
an exemplary working relationship with physicians, staff, departments, Hospital teams, and administrators. Responsibilities include (and are not limited to) day-to-
day operations, budget development, financial performance, and maintenance of clinical relationships. Maximizes efficiency of the department through
effective planning, daily organization, and delegation of assignments. The chief technologist is responsible for the overall management of personnel. He/she
assures compliance with standards set forth by the federal, state, TJC, and other regulatory agencies. Fulfills the Hospital mission by providing state-of-the-art
diagnostic technologies for patient care in a compassionate and timely manner while maintaining a fiscal responsibility to the institution.
4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
NMTCB certification or Certification and registration in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT.
