What Clinical Operations Supervisor ontributes to Cardinal Health

The Clinical Operations Supervisor is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Clinical Operations functional group. Instrumental in defining the mission, goals, budget, performance standards and communicating it to staff.


What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Manages department operations and supervises professional employees and/or business support staff
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
  • Ensures employees operate within specified guidelines
  • Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels. May interact with senior management
  • Interactions normally involves resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects
  • Gains consensus from various parties involved

Accountabilities:

  • Supervision of licensed nurses who perform compliance persistency calls and pharmacovigilance in a call center environment
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations to include quality monitoring of calls and charting
  • Training on adverse event, product complaint reporting, and medical information to clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Implementation of new programs to include writing and updating work instructions and standard operation procedures
  • Performing User Acceptance Testing of new and existing systems
  • Onboarding and training of new clinical staff
  • Sending adverse event reconciliation reports to clients
  • Mentoring and coaching staff to meet key performance indicators
  • Interviewing potential new candidates
  • Assisting with program development
  • Being a positive change agent

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience, required
  • 5 years of hospital or clinical experience, required
  • Call center and telephonic nursing background , required
  • Must have current Texas RN license, required
  • Able to obtain RN licenses in other States within one year of employment, required
  • Ability to multitask and in a fast paced environment, required
  • Experience working with high functioning teams; required
  • Must have excellent computer and writing skills, required
  • Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint required
  • Conducting web meetings,  required
  • Knowledge of rare diseases and oncology, preferred
  • Chronic disease management, preferred
  • Basic health insurance knowledge, preferred
  • Case Management certification desired, preferred; other certifications considered
  • Experience with teaching and development of instructional material, preferred
