Responsibilities

  • Job Summary:

    Performs all levels of front desk and billing functions, which encompasses patient scheduling, registration and charge entry

    -Answering multi-line telephone calls

    -Task accurate messages to the physician in a timely manner

    -Scheduling appointments

    -Accurate collection of all demographic and insurance information

    -Entering all updated information into the billing system

    -Collect and record all co-payments and monies

    -Print all insurance verifications and batch billing

    -Monitor the sign –in sheet and assist with patient flow process to ensure that each medical provider

    -Has a patient in an effort to maximize physician productivity

    -Assist with the collection of monthly reports

    -Assist with the batching of all billing forms and making deposits on a daily basis

    -Generate referrals

    -Translation as needed

    -Must be able to multitask, work independently and as a team



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two (2) or three (3) years of experience working in a medical office
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
