DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

JOB TITLE: HR Admin Assistant

OPENINGS: (1) PT / FT: Part Time GRADE: 7

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Main Street

DESCRIPTION: Duties may include processing job applicants from initial contact through hire, key entry and research in GEMS, managing transfer and job lists, processing driver qualifying files, responding to employee questions, acting as liaison with Benefits Service Center, Human Resources Service Center, and outside agencies such as Employment Development Department. Heavy phone usage. May include reporting, record keeping and maintenance of employee files. Provide general office support for H.R. department. General office duties may include word processing, data entry, auditing documents, faxing, duplicating and processing simple forms, reserving conference rooms, coordinating meetings and other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED PROFICIENCY: • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent multi-tasking skills • Ability to work independently, little to no supervision

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS: • Ability to learn UPS services and systems • General knowledge of office procedures • General understanding of all functions in unit and general awareness of company’s operations, methods and procedures
